Hatred and Vitriol

I am generally a very nice person.  I hate a lot of nastiness.  What surprises me is that there are people out there that do nothing but have blogs committed to the politics of personal destruction.  Allegations, innuendo, and downright lies are the norm.  These same blogs also allow the nastiest comments, filled with graphic and gratuitous sexual references.  What hurts is that these blogs attack people that are trying to do things to better their communities.  These hate-mongers contribute nothing positive to their own city, town, or country, but then want to destroy those that want to do the right things.  When the person being attacked has tried to change the tone of the debate and tone down the rhetoric, these vitriolic "people" crank up the hate, choosing instead to pile on the attacks.  Someone I know once said that when you point your finger at someone, you have three pointing back at yourself.  Maybe "Dr. Delusional" needs to examine his own deficiencies instead of constantly attacking Joe Albero and "The Delmar Watchdog."
